Here’s a post card reminder for UPPO’s upcoming conference. A blueprint style illustration seemed appropriate given the theme.

Innovation Initiative

Our local public schools decided to brand their effort to increase innovation in the district. Here are some of the logo options I came up with. They ended up choosing the middle one in the bottom row.

Solar Stages

Here are the options for the logo for Minnetonka Marching Band’s 2011 field show. The one on the right was chosen.

 

Ambassadors

Totino-Grace High School enlisted me once more for the task of branding the theme for the coming year. The top one – which was a response to their suggestion to make something resembling a bridge – was their favorite.

Christmas Kings

This one turned out to be sort of a misfire. It’s for a band that specializes in holiday music. The subject matter was right but the style wasn’t quite what they had in mind.

Ambigram

This is my attempt at creating a wordmark for my niece, whose name is a suitable candidate for an ambigram, which is always a fun and interesting challenge.

Pointy Things

These variations on points were commissioned by Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization, for a campaign endeavoring to put forth the notion that they’re a place where multiple ideas are focused.

NHL Concept

Another contest entry. The challenge was to imagine what the Atlanta Thrashers might look like after they move to Winnipeg. I thought they should remain the Jets, but update the look a bit. Here’s what I came up with.

Graduation

My oldest son graduated! So of course we created the requisite announcement.

McCormick’s

A brand new Irish pub and restaurant is opening this summer in downtown Wayzata, Minnesota. I was fortunate enough to be called upon to help with the design of a wordmark, a crest (incorporating the McCormick coat of arms) and even the facade of the building itself. Very much looking forward to savoring a pint or two in this establishment.


Sustainability

Hartford Steam wanted to brand their efforts to use fuel efficiently and reduce emissions. I came up with these concepts.

Baseball Project

The Baseball Project is a rock supergroup composed of Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey, Steve Wynn and Linda Pitmon. They sing baseball songs. They need a logo. There’s a contest to design one. Here’s my entry. Wish me luck.

Pub Crawl

If you’re gonna get sauced on St. Patty’s Day, always get yourself a nice logo to commemorate the occasion.

Project Strongchild

Project Strongchild is a curriculum for young children that’s comprised of rules and life lessons that create awareness and give children the tools to handle life’s possibilities. They wanted a bold, energetic, powerful, sturdy and clean logo. So I came up with these options. They preferred the top one.

Every year La Crosse, Wisconsin’s Oktoberfest creates a commemorative button, the design of which is arrived at through a contest. Here’s my entry for 2011.
